Screw Up Drink

Do you like cocktails with orange flavor? Now it’s trendy with sweet and sour drinks everywhere. One with a sour orange taste is Screw Up Drink. The drink is familiar to some screw cocktail lovers. This orange-flavored cocktail also has added fizz.

Ok, for those who are still newbies about this drink, below we will explain what Screw Up Drink is.

What is a Screw-Up Drink?

Screw Up Drink is a screwdriver drink with added lemon and lime soda. Drinks use ingredients such as orange juice, vodka, and soda from 7-up. It tastes like a sweet orange, but there is a slight sour taste. This tastes very delicious and refreshing when combined with soda from 7-UP.

Screw Up Drink is similar to plain vodka and 7up drinks but with the addition of orange.

Ingredients Review:

Vodka is a clear-colored liquor. This drink is made from grain through a distillation process. The grain is fermented first before being distilled. For example, using rye or even using potatoes. The taste is neutral and there is almost no alcohol content.

Vodka blends well with drinks and provides a great flavor addition to cocktails including the Screw Up Drink.

Orange juice comes from fresh oranges and is pulp-free. The dregs are removed so that it feels smoother and tastier.

7-Up is a type of soda. Another ingredient is a 7up soda drink. This is a carbonated drink just like other fizzy drinks, it is bubbly and has a lemon-lime taste so it feels more refreshing.

When to Make Screw-Up Drink

It tastes fresh with a mixture of sweet and sour from citrus fruit. This sweet and sour taste allows it to be served at many events including:

  • Party by the pool
  • Barbecue
  • Afternoon sipping
  • Spring or summer party.
  • Possible variations

If you want a little variation of this drink, you can try the following changes.

You can replace 7up with Sprite, both are lemon-lime sodas. However, the taste combination can be slightly different. But Sprite produces a bit of the same cocktail flavor.

If you often use vodka, sometimes you can make it different, try using Citron vodka. Citron vodka is vodka with orange or citrus flavors. This would pair well with orange juice.

If you are controlling blood sugar, you should use Diet 7up or Sprite Zero rather than using regular 7up, this is important for those of you who are watching sugar or calories.
